Your Privacy

All information, including name, contact details such as: address, phone numbers, E-mail address and other details sent to the band via our E-mail address will not be used, sent, sold, loaned or advertised outside of the band unless otherwise stated. However, we cannot guarantee security of this information due to your information accidently being sent to another E-mail address other than: bwlsadmin@googlemail.com.

Unless stated otherwise, we will include photographs of you in the Jazz Band on the concerts page. If you wish to not have any image of yourself on the website, please see either of the two band leaders to make a specific request.

Currently all advertising through the band website is internal to the website. All information that the band advertises is through details sent via our E-mail address direct and has not been passed on to us from any external website/company. We only display the information that you disclose, but are not responsible for the abuse of this information. You are solely responsible for the information that you send to us. We are also not responsible for the content of any external links within our adverts and if we are sent complaints of any of our adverts external website content, the person who originally sent the advert information to our E-mail address will be contacted of this, giving a warning – (see below) and the advert will be removed until a replacement link is sent.

If you decide to E-mail the band via our E-mail address (bwlsadmin@googlemail.com), your E-mail address will be saved and your E-mail message archived. We do not use this information outside of the band and will not publish your E-mail address on our website or distribute it to anyone else without asking for your permission first. However, if we receive a complaint about any information (text/images/etc or advert) that you have submitted to be shown on our website, you will be E-mailed a warning and your content/advert will temporarily be removed. You have three warnings, and if we receive any further complaints, you will be E-mailed and notified that your content/advert will be permanently removed and will no longer be able to submit information to us. If you receive abuse from content/an advert that you have submitted to us, please report this via our E-mail address and we will remove all content from our website. You are legally allowed (Data Protection Act 1998) to see all information that we hold from you and are permitted to request that we delete all personal information/content from our website database. If you wish to remove an advert or a specific piece of information/image/etc that you have sent to us, feel free to do this by E-mailing us.

A cookie is a text file placed in your web browser, (where it can be stored in a folder on your computer), to allow a site to recognise you and to display personal settings that were saved the last time you visited the website. There are two types: temporary and permanent. Temporary cookies are deleted when you close your web browser, but permanent cookies are used to permanently collect information and display personal settings. Cookies can be used to collect personal information such as your Public IP address, username and other possible personal information which could be abused or sent to other websites/companies. The band does not use cookies to retrieve personal information.

The band is not responsible for the content of external Internet websites. We review our external links regularly, but cannot guarantee that they are up-to-date due to external website address changes without our knowledge or other errors. If you find any links that you deem unusable (within the website itself or links to external sites), please report this via our E-mail address. The privacy policy of any of these sites may differ from ours and so are recommended to read their policy before submitting any personal information. Please note that we are not responsible for the abuse of personal information from external websites.
